Every message Trusted Codes sends belongs to a topic, and every topic can reach you on three channels. This page is the whole grid.

The mobile app carries four push switches. This page carries the rest: email and in-app delivery for every topic, the topics the phone leaves out, and the per-message settings underneath them.

Rows are topics. Columns are Email, In app and Push.

Each topic shows its name and a one-line description of what it carries — “Security and account” is sign-in alerts, account recovery and security changes; “Connections” is invitations and changes to the people you are connected with.

A cell can be one of four things.

A dash means the topic is never sent on that channel, so there is nothing to decide.

A padlock with Always means the channel is part of the topic and cannot be turned off. The tooltip says so. These are the messages you would want even after you had switched everything else off.

A switch means the choice is yours.

A tick with no switch means the account can see the setting but not change it.

A topic that contains more than one message can be opened. Inside sits Individual notifications, one row per message, with the same three channels.

The rule there is stated on the page: “A notification can only be narrower than the topic above it.” Turning a channel off for the topic removes the choice from every message inside it, so the rows for that channel disappear rather than promising something the topic has already refused.

Reset all to defaults at the bottom puts every topic and every message back to how Trusted Codes ships them, and it takes effect at once.

The switches appear only when your account includes notification settings. Without them the page still shows every topic and how it is delivered, so you can always see where a message is going. Only the changing is unavailable.
