Creating an Account

Getting Started

There are three ways to create an account.

For a magic link, enter your email address and tap Continue. An address we do not know takes you to the Create Account screen, where you give a Display Name. Then tap Register.

Tapping the Google button creates the account from your Google account, and on iOS the Apple button does the same with your Apple account.

Your email address is how other people invite you, so use one you read.

Verifying Your Email

After you tap Register we send you a sign-in link by email. Open the email and tap the link to activate your account. The link expires after one hour.

If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then go back and request the link again. There is no code to type in.

Setting Up Your Profile

The Create Account screen asks you for two things.

Field	Required	What it is
Email	Yes	Where the sign-in link goes.
Display Name	Yes	What your connections see, so make it recognisable.

It does not ask for your code-word language or a profile picture. You add those later in Settings.

There is no field for a referral code at the moment. If you came through an invitation link that carries one, it is still applied when you register.

Your First Steps

If somebody invited you, that invitation is waiting under Pending Requests in the People tab.

If you are starting on your own, open the People tab and tap + to invite people.

Your trust score starts modest and grows as the account gets older and you use the app.
