Without your own key

Everything the Concierge does — showing a code, checking three words, creating a guest code, sending an invitation, switching your beacon on — works without a key, on every account that has the Concierge at all. None of it is counted.

A written answer to a question about Trusted Codes is different. Somebody has to write it, and that somebody is an AI. The Concierge writes it with your own AI key if you have added one. If you have not, it writes it with the key Trusted Codes holds, and that key gives you three answers a month.

The Concierge keeps you informed. Its greeting says how many answers are left this month, and the line above the box where you type says which key the answers are written with: yours, or the one Trusted Codes holds. When the month’s answers are used, commands keep working exactly as before. A question gets a short note instead of an answer.

Add a key from an AI company under Settings → Manage account → AI API Keys. From then on, answers are written with it, with no monthly count. That company bills you for what it writes, and Trusted Codes never sees that bill. Commands stay uncounted, with or without a key.

A key changes who writes the answers. It changes nothing else.

The Concierge still reaches only Trusted Codes. It does not open other apps on your phone, and it does not read your calendar or your messages.

It does not browse the web. An answer comes from these help pages, not from a search.

It does not remember. Each conversation starts fresh. What you said last week is not there, and nothing you say is kept for next time.

It cannot do more than your account allows. A key does not unlock a feature your account does not include.
