What it will not do

Some things the Concierge refuses, and it says why. A few of them are asked for often enough to be worth knowing in advance.

There is no such thing. Trusted Codes gives you words per connection, words per guest code, and words for your beacon — never one code that is yours alone. If you ask for “my code”, the Concierge says exactly that and offers the ones that exist: a connection’s code by name, or your beacon word.

The Concierge works inside your account and nowhere else. It will not look into another person’s account, list who uses Trusted Codes, or tell you anything about a person you are not connected to. What it can tell you about someone is what your own connection with them holds.

A request for somebody else’s data is treated as misuse. That is the one case where the sentence you typed is kept for thirty days, in a form only a Trusted Codes administrator can open. The page called What the Concierge records explains it.

The Concierge does not sell anything and does not change your plan. Plans and billing are managed in the account portal, and if you ask about them, the Concierge tells you so and stops there.

When the Concierge cannot tell what you mean, it asks rather than guesses. When nothing it can do matches what you asked, it says so, and where it can, it names the screen that does it. It does not pick the nearest thing and hope.

Nothing that changes your account happens just because you said it. Creating, sending, renaming, removing and switching all wait for you to tap Go ahead. Reading things — a code, a list, an answer — needs no confirmation.
